Listen to Lea Michele Radio on iHeartRadio

Friends and fans of the late Cory Monteith are taking time to remember the star a year after his death.  Sunday marked the first anniversary of the "Glee" actor's unexpected passing.

His co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele took to Twitter, posting a photo of Cory and writing, "We hold you in our hearts today, and every day we remember your smile. We will love you and miss you always."

Many his other co-stars mentioned his smile in their Twitter posts Sunday, including original cast members Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz.

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy, and stars Matthew Morrison, Kevin McHale, Dot-Marie Jones and Harry Shum Jr. all shared their memories of Cory as well.

Cory passed away from a mix of alcohol and heroin last July 13th.  He was 31.  The anniversary comes as the Fox show deals with another loss.  Matt Bendik, the boyfriend of castmate Becca Tobin, was found dead at a hotel in Philadelphia last Thursday.
