AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson is being recognized back home.

Britain's Chronicle Live says the rocker is among Northumbria University's honorary degree recipients.  He's slated to receive an Honorary Doctor of Music at the school's graduation ceremony on Wednesday.

Johnson is originally from the Northumbria city of Gateshead.  He's part of a group of honorees that also includes iPhone designer Sir Jonathan Ive, screenwriter Lee Hall, who penned Billy Elliott, and cricket star Paul Collingwood.
