Australian restaurant Phat Stacks serves a burger with 24-carat gold buns. BUNS! Per their menu it costs $88.80 and is topped with 2x beef, 2x chicken, 2x bacon, 3x cheese, onion rings, jalapeños (accompanied by a liquid nitrogen smoke show). Or you can upgrade any burger to gold for $50.
What do you think? It definitely seems like a waste of money - I don't care how much gold is on the buns, I'm not paying $80 for a burger with only 2 pieces of bacon on it.
